We ate at Crapper Barrell yesterday. I mean, Cracker Barrell. LOL! So many people rave about it and we don't have one close here but we've driven by this one up north several times lately en route to parades, so we stopped. Not impressed! I just don't eat fatty food anymore. I could have eaten something on their low carb menu or a salad or something but I was really hungry and I wanted the whole experience...I got some kind of chicken. Fried. It was okay. I ate one of the chicken breasts (the serving was 2). Anyway, I've become a food snob, I guess.

I was inspired by some food blogs I read and decided to make a super bowl of oatmeal this morning. But I think I made it too super, if that's possible. It really filled me up and I couldn't finish it! Amazing. Anyway, I just used regular quick oats and added 1/2 an apple (which I warmed up in the microwave), cinnamon, some wheat germ, tsp of pb, and some soymilk. It could have been sweeter but I didn't want to use anymore points and I'm trying to not use splenda as much.

I'm still so excited about my lunch yesterday. I took a picture with my camera phone but the pictures come out HUGE on my new phone and I don't know how to resize them.

Anyway, I was motivated by a couple of food blogs I read so I went to Whole Foods and this is what I had for lunch:

Red pepper, onion, zucchini, chickpeas, and sweet potato (sauteed it all in a pan) seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and hot sauce.

I might have it again today. It was so yummy! That tea is the best! We each got a sample tea bag at my WW meeting on Saturday. We don't sell it at Hannaford so I decided to order some online. After I did that I found one box at Whole Foods.

Over Halloween weekend I need to provide 50 people with yummy cookies to munch on between fife and drum rehearsals. I have a couple of fave recipes but I'd love to hear any new ones. Post them in your LJ, if you want.

I think I mentioned "bento" on here before. I just bought a tupperware container yesterday that'll make a good bento box. I always packed a lunch until I started working at Hannaford. And I can't even admit how much weight I've gained! I always loved packing little things (to fit in my Hello Kitty lunch box! LOL!)so I want to get back into it. I never trusted the fridge there at work because I know some people steal food but it's worth a try. Maybe they won't touch it if it looks too cutesy! LOL!

I've had the sore scratchy throat ear annoyance and now cough virus this week. It's not so bad that I can't work. I think it's why I was so tired last week. But I hate getting even a tad bit sick. I'm not a good patient.
